Re: Posting a live traffic camera site for the entire Houston area/not what you'd expect
Are you serious about thinking that all footage is from previous floods?

If so, please put down the crack pipe FFS.

I've lived here 40 years. It flooded.

Twice as much flooding as I've ever seen. Highways are back to normal except for hwy 6 behind the resevoir, belt south of I10, and maybe a couple sections of 45.

So yeah, water has been going down since Sunday.

With that said, I have 3 family members evacuated that won't be able to go back to homes/cars until after 9/5 - and my brother is water-locked near the bayou waiting for it to go down to not screw his truck.

We are all volunteering with evacs, food deliveries, and pulling Sheetrock, insulation, carpet and padding out of homes this weekend. Hundreds of volunteers.

maybe 70% of those flooded can now go back to their disgusting homes to start fixing - the other 30% can't suck the water out because it's still standing inches to feet above their first floors.

Google KPRC arial footage from 2 days ago.

To put things into more perspective:

The Houston Greater Metropolitan Area has more than 6.5 million people.

During the height of the flooding there were about 300,000+ people without power.

There were 400 cell phone towers down out of 7500.

There were about 9,000 in shelters.

From ALL sources there were 9 to 10 thousand rescued.

This is out of a population of 6.5 million.

They showed flooded neighborhoods.

Harris County Flood Control District updated earlier notifications from the Army Corps of Engineers about controlled releases of two Harris County-area reservoirs to warn neighboring residents that their homes could be flooded.

District meteorologist Jeff Lindner says residents of neighborhoods surrounding the Addicks Reservoir and Barker Reservoir could be affected initially with street flooding, but residents' homes could be flooded as well.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers had said earlier Sunday that they would begin releasing water from the reservoirs early Monday to control the flooding along Buffalo Bayou downstream to downtown Houston and the Houston Ship Channel.

The Harris County Office of Emergency Management said residents around the reservoirs should pack their cars with what they want to bring but not to until daybreak to leave as the rain continues to fall.

In other words the extreme flooding that they keep showing, with water up to the top of doorways, was due to the controlled release of reservoir waters into a nearby residential area.

There were 9,000 in the convention center alone. There were many many other shelters. 6.5 million is Greater Houston, a 9 county area not just Harris County (Houston). Get your facts straight.

Yeah, the old ladies photo is very obviously faked.
But, all the networks were guilty of staging faked rescues for their cameras. But, why would they even need to do that with real rescues alleged to be occuring all around them?

And people talking about rain gauges in their backyard, as if they had one that would actually hold up to 60" of rain to measure. Who has one of those on hand? Maybe a weather station, but I doubt your average joe has one.
Guy upthread says his read 34" but I call BS that he had a rain gauge large enough to hold and measure that.

There seems to have been some fakery with this whole Houston story and I think the traffic cams bust them out because of the pics that showed allegedly water up over the sides of interstate overpasses. That would be 25-40 ft high, so where did it go so fast?
Water levels in a flood take weeks to go down. River levels take weeks.

Twice as much flooding. Well it was five times as much rainfall, supposedly.
Math doesn't work for me.

Neither does 70% of those flooded being no longer flooded.
It normally takes weeks for flood waters to recede that much.

I started checking these traffic cameras on Tuesday night. That was the day the rain stopped.

The roads then look exactly as they do now, except with less traffic.

I checked out almost every traffic camera.

There were maybe 2 or 3 roads that showed signs of flooding out of probably more than a hundred.

Wow.... just went back and read that some of you retards are actually buying that there is fakery involved.

I'm with the others - it's not even worth googling anything for you, nor explaining anything to you.

HOWEVER....

I was in it, witnessed it, have tons of family and friends ALL OVER this county and every surrounding county.

There are probably 500k cars toast. More than 100k homes which will be gutted, dried, mold prevention, and re-floored insulated and sheet-rocked.

there are a shit-ton of family's not in the pretty numbers reported because they are currently at our fuking houses (those of us that stayed dry) - along with their cats, dogs, smelly shoes.

The refugees you see at shelters include homeless, and those with no family/friends here (or at least no dry family/friends).

I know of very few people who aren't doing crap to resolve the losses, take people in, assess damages.

What about this whole thing doesn't seem "real" to you people exactly? Did you imagine 6 million dumb asses holding their heads under 3' of water? No. we can swim, idiots.

Houses "destroyed by storm" are higher than ever - but 90% of houses "affected by storm" means that you have water, sand, grossness at least inches in your house if not feet - or have resided. It's not like you "didn't get flooded" or you DIED!

Here's what I want to know from you false flag harveytards:

What do you not "get"? what to you seems "fishy"?

Where the hell do you get your info - aside from real people here? (as in - right now here...)

What is your expectation? (hope, dissolution?)

What do you think the "plot" would be to fool you into thinking that we flooded - but really didn't?

And what drugs are you all on?

That's it exactly. People are not even describing their last year's tax day flooding as having been apparent. That was with 9" of rain. Now, 5 times that much has alleged to have fallen and yet it's all gone miraculously a day later.

You see the Addickes, they drained water out of and it was SHALLOW. There was no dangerous water levels there to warrant that. At the height of it, you could clearly see it was in no danger of overflow. You know? And certainly did not back the story of historic rains.

That was me. My gauge tops at 6" and my 34", and then some, was measured as I emptied it out. A couple of times it was full to the brim and could have certainly been more, but for the record, I just added 6" when that happened.

We are very close to the Galveston Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. Water does not have to go far to go away, maybe a quarter mile from where I stand. I had the water go down 18" then back up 18" over a 10 hour period. Some may be tidal related; the water I experienced was Dickinson Bayou and it does get some tidal influence.

How can you guys be so f'n skeptical? It's fairly insensitive to the people who really lost everything. My stuff is insured and replaceable. There are many who don't have that advantage and are going to be suffering for some time to come.

I may have missed it but I don't think most are saying there was no flood, they are saying that things don't line up the way it was portrayed in the media. Personally, I feel there is something really amiss and a huge cover up ongoing.

Media repeatedly claimed that there was widespread flooding and all roads out of Houston were blocked - trapped with no way out and no way in.

It was. I could not get past Dickinson Bayou, to the south and east, Clear Creek to the north, and Mustang Bayou to the west. Saturday and Sunday. And I have nearly 3' of fording capability in my truck (without getting the inside wet).

There was water over I45 at Dickinson Bayou and Clear Creek. All the major road with bridges over either were impassable.

This I saw with my own eyes. One of our techs was on an emergency call to a place off Memorial and could not get there due to Buffalo Bayou across BW8 and Memorial drive, and the Addicks drainage across I-10. And these are the highways. Surface streets fared much worse.

Again...my personal experience.

Yall are talking about the nursing home story/video from Dickinson being fake.

Wow - so glad that you pointed this out!!! While everyone was off of the roads on Sat Sun - it's obvious that CNN was was rounding-up old people actors to fill their fake flooded studio made to look like a nursing home.

To fool you guys even more - they made it to look exactly like the La Vita Bella nursing home.... you can see where it's situated if you google map it (north of river, with two tributaries on both sides):

They really spared no expense with this one! Targeting 16-24yr old millennial conspiracy theorists with low book reading skills or critical thinking...

And You are right! There is no way that old people dumped in a nursing home (in poor ass Dickinson), abandoned by their family long ago would go unnoticed for the 6 hours it would have taken to fill the it with water which IS SITUATED NEXT TO 3 BODIES OF WATER.....

I'm betting that the other 24 flooded nursing homes in an area the size of, well - a THIRD OF TEXAS!!! were all faked as well.

End Game in fooling you internet wizards- ???? Certainly fema camps....

Because math.

I will now pray every night thanking God that you don't live in Texas...

Please stay far away.

No, I just think what a tiny nursing home it must be to have only 3 occupants or so worth photographing.

I mean, come on, you went in there and this is the only shot you got? None of the poor bedridden people up to their pillows and drowning? You can't just show me this pic and I believe there is a whole nursing home full of people there in this predicament.
One pic does not a complete story paint.

Standing alone like that it appears staged or photoshopped.

Nope not flooded now. Down to a high normal. The bayou is on the high side still, but in the banks. The watershed where Conroe area is located goes down the San Jac's. Both of those are still very high. Comparatively, the Dickinson Bayou watershed is small. San Jac's are huge!

I did and that is the only photo in the group that specifically named that as the location. The rest of the pitiful bunch said Houston.

But, when in Houston it does not say.
In any case, when did they send in the fleet of wreckers to remove all the flooded and abandoned cars off the interestates and your what not?
That would have seemed to have impeded traffic flow slightly but I saw no evidence of that taking place, either.

Don't you find it odd your 50" of rain drained away so fast? Was it as fast or faster than when you get say, 8 or 9 inches of rain?

I simply love it when someone like you gives a reply meant for them to apply to themselves.

I'll give you the time of day. You're a day late and a dollar short, because you make me wonder if you're really a resident of Houston or someone who has perhaps visited there on occasion and can't take any photos because they aren't even there right now.

I'm just curious to know, where did all the people go??? Did they just vanish? If they evacuated, where to???

I'm starting to believe, maybe this storm was faked. Get everyone out, by making it rain. Then, when everyone has left, bring in the crisis actors and film crews and broadcast the "event"; maybe use old footage. None would be the wiser. You're not going to know anything but what they tell you through the television. There would be no "drone" footage because everything would be secured.

Someone in another thread mentioned that there would be 4 Hurricanes, HIJK, that destroyed America.

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 72325042

For me, it wasn't any faster. During a decent storm, we get rain to fill the ditches (normally empty)and it's gone in a few hours. This rain came up, slowly went down about 18" over a 12 hour period, then back up over night again, with much less rainfall. That's why I think the bay and bayou were abnormally high from the runoff elsewhere and a little tide thrown in for good measure. That went back down over the next 24 hours to at least clear my street. For this area, that's a long time to drain.

Hope this helps!

cheers

Wait...is op posting live camera, as in today?

Oh ffs...the water is receding and most of it is in the gulf, the lakes, creeks and bayous now.

Does op have screen shots of sat-tues?

And you all do realize that neighborhoods do not have live cameras...right?

 Quoting: Nameless the Deplorable

Here's my issues, and I have found it very confusing from day one, Saturday. It was barely raining when reporters were out showing this and that. Then they said it stopped raining Tuesday. Great. But, there is no way that an average of 3 feet of rain fell, in some places allegedly as much as 5 feet.
I've seen images from the Tax Day 2016 flood and it's the same as now as far as flooding goes. But, how can that be when this was supposedly 4 to 5 times as much rainfall?

I think that part is way overblown. And posters want me to think 50" of rainfall has already found it's way into the Gulf? I stopped believing 50 inches of rainfall when they showed photos of the Addicks Resevoir. There should have been far more water trapped there than photos taken showed.
You get that, right? That what images showed was far less than any 108-109 feet of water. It wasn't there.
Now they try to say it's measuring from sea level to the tops of the levee. How dumb is that? Not from the bottom of the resevoir to the top.
