Posting a live traffic camera site for the entire Houston area/not what you'd expect
[link to traffic.houstontranstar.org]

I started checking these traffic cameras on Tuesday night. That was the day the rain stopped.

The roads then look exactly as they do now, except with less traffic.

I checked out almost every traffic camera.

There were maybe 2 or 3 roads that showed signs of flooding out of probably more than a hundred.

Re: Posting a live traffic camera site for the entire Houston area/not what you'd expect
Great thread! I was NOT surprised. I watched all the footage and never saw anything deeper than up to people's knees in street flooding.

Not just the media, but average joes and jills online uploads of their neighborhoods.
It seems to have been highly selective flooding.
Maybe some was footage from previous floods.
I do know that I caught KHOU using looped footage when it was claiming "LIVE".

There is some high strangeness going on that in no way indicated there was anything remotely like 50" of rain falling on that city. It would be flooded. But, oddly, the city never was.

I'll keep bumping this for you, OP.

It seems like some of these were in the area of where they showed raging flood waters. Was it photoshop of a interstate sign in a ocean pic?

I really don't know. But, it looks like business, as usual in the city of Houston. Looks like some areas didn't even skip a beat.

Re: Posting a live traffic camera site for the entire Houston area/not what you'd expect
To put things into more perspective:

The Houston Greater Metropolitan Area has more than 6.5 million people.

During the height of the flooding there were about 300,000+ people without power.

There were 400 cell phone towers down out of 7500.

There were about 9,000 in shelters.

From ALL sources there were 9 to 10 thousand rescued.

This is out of a population of 6.5 million.

They showed flooded neighborhoods.

Harris County Flood Control District updated earlier notifications from the Army Corps of Engineers about controlled releases of two Harris County-area reservoirs to warn neighboring residents that their homes could be flooded.

District meteorologist Jeff Lindner says residents of neighborhoods surrounding the Addicks Reservoir and Barker Reservoir could be affected initially with street flooding, but residents' homes could be flooded as well.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers had said earlier Sunday that they would begin releasing water from the reservoirs early Monday to control the flooding along Buffalo Bayou downstream to downtown Houston and the Houston Ship Channel.

The Harris County Office of Emergency Management said residents around the reservoirs should pack their cars with what they want to bring but not to until daybreak to leave as the rain continues to fall.

In other words the extreme flooding that they keep showing, with water up to the top of doorways, was due to the controlled release of reservoir waters into a nearby residential area.

Not sure what the point is, but yes it flooded bad in many areas. Some not as much. My house was high and dry the whole time, but I know others just down the road that were flooded.

Yeah, looks the same.
And yet that was not with an alleged, 50" of rain falling over a 200 mile radius. That would cause unimaginable flooding.
Yet, today, you watch flyover videos and I don't see the evidence of that much rain. That's all I'm saying.

Maybe they are not showing flyovers of those areas. Wherever they are supposed to be.

At least two of my Castle Clash guildmates in two guilds I'm in they were talking up it all up when the hurricane was here in Texas. One was in the Woodlands saying that there was alot of flooding everywhere around him, but he and his family were on high ground so it was all good. Another is near Houston and he was saying something about massive flooding everywhere, in one of the power outages area, and barely able to do much of anything out there. So I don't know what the heck was going on. For all I know they live in residential areas where those water releases happened.

I know Fox News/ABC News both kept showing a completely flooded highway that turned into a large river while it was near white out conditions days ago. That was jaw dropping to see actually. So apparently it's all coming out into the open that many, many power players were lying to the public about the Hurricane Harvey damages. The Mayor of Houston literally murders alot of people just to make our POS Governor look like a fool. Well the murders were the end result of the Mayor not making the proper calls when she had the time and abilities to do so.

I'm not posting an opinion. People can believe what they choose to believe.

I'm only posting live traffic cameras allegedly showing the ENTIRE Houston area and there is virtually no water in evidence.

I'm also posting old You Tube videos from a year and two years ago showing the same kind of "flooding" in Houston at those times.

One can only assume that Houston floods...a lot... and that this particular story has been inflated to the point of absurdity.

Also, how is it that if there are 6.5+ million people only 9,000 needed to be rescued if it was as bad as they claimed that it was?

Do you know that there are 5,000 homeless people on the streets of Houston every day?

Glad they all got a bed.

Did you ever think that maybe there really aren't many people who aren't part of the bullshit that are left in the world, including the people on this site?

No one is going to tell the truth because the small number left is in on the deception.

Isn't it possible that Houston flooded 'at some time' and ALL of the footage is from the same flood?

I'm going to make a big prediction....here it is GLPers....

I'm going way out on a limb and guess they stop showing real time traffic cams on the internet entirely....and very soon.
