I feel bad about any people who does not know there are alternatives to the main insterstate leading out of their city. Good lord, have a map handy and you'll see there are plenty of uncrowded side roads to evac.

Maybe the real problem is the human arrogance of building huge population centers in historical flood plains that are prone to being hit by tropical weather systems.
