Either way the fires always get put out and rarely burn a home. It's about 1/100th as bad as what you saw happen to Houston and almost every 5 years to a gulf state. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 32855800 Oh, okay go to the coast and buy house. While I am there do you want me to buy a house for you too? |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 32855800 Homes do burn, it's a sight to see at night, the place where the fire is headed is populated, it is the city. They were saying they had rare weather, microburst that prevented the fire from being contained. The weather right now is cooperating. |

Near Santa Barbara/Ventura County they have islands near the mainland that will catch most Tsunami. Then the last earthquake was in 1994 and it wasn't nothing compared to what you've seen in the gulf states since then with their hurricanes. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 32855800 the amount of aftershocks was crazy, I remember the night before too because there had been an incident in downtown were two vehicles crashed, people had guns, started shooting at each other, the ruffians ended up inside of a federal building, cops surrounded the building, I, a kid had to run for cover and get away from the building. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 32855800 Fires happen near the coast, too. There was one near Pepperdine some years back. I want to say there was another one near Malibu, I don't remember exactly though. Maybe it was Calabasas or something. I had a college professor who lost her home in a wildfire. I want to say she lived near Malibu at the time. I don't know when that was. |
