Just saw the movie the mummy 2017. The cave and tomb where the mummy was buried alive symbolizes our very planet and human body. The mercury/black goo pool she was immersed and was weakening her spirit/soul symbolizes our very blood. Later they were feeding it directly into her veins just like blood and it was shown that it can burn the hell out of our soul/spirit(reminded me majin buu's black goo flesh from dbz that had turned into a living burning hell). She was also chained down just like prometheus. Her 2 pairs of eyes symbolize the 2 different consciousness that are in symbiosis in the human body. It was shown also with lunar boss/satan/evil dr jekyll.

The second consciousness inside us was revealed also to be that of mummy/mommy(satan/medusa/lilith(she was saying come to mother in hellraiser 2, come to daddy in hellraiser 1 revealing the hermaphrodite nature of satan.)

When the mummy got out of her grave and was jumped by dr jekyll's men and brought to his whereabouts for jigsaw experiments and torture, this symbolizes what happens to us when we die/exit out flesh tomb and get jumped by the cenobites/god's angels/demons.

See the scene where the mummy is chained like prometheus on dr jekyll's whereabouts and is hallucinating/dreaming human life with tom cruise both having a good time and while at it, the blonde woman tells them "wake up, wake up", and then the mummy wakes up screaming "it burns" into her real body that is chained in dr jekyll's moon prison.

In the beginning of the movie they showed also this cyclops cave/earth that is our tomb is actually our prison, and us losing our energy here growing old and rot it reminded me the cave of moon ra from thundercats panthera was trapped inside and was growing old and dying slowly as it was sucking his energy until cheetara pulled him out of that cave.
