joeym User ID: 43361847 United States 09/03/2017 10:52 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I agree that CBD oil is the best thing I have found for anxiety. I have a medical marijuana card from the state that allows me to go into the dispensary to purchase the CBD oil. It is also great for aches and pains. Another thing you might be interested in (if you are in a state where pot is legal) is "S Oil" which is CBD oil with the THC remaining in the oil (CBD doesn't really make you high). S Oil gives the same effect as CBD except you have a very mellow, pleasant high. If CBD isn't an option, I would try some guided meditation and yoga. I have panic attacks and have been dealing with anxiety for years. I didn't want to be dependent on the benzodiazepine's to keep from having panic attacks and read everything I could on the subject of lessening anxiety. Sleep is very, very important as is good nutrition. Cut out caffeine as much as possible while dealing with anxiety. I hope this helped. I know anxiety is horrible. |

The gay ass liberals tell everyone they are special and that is why people have depression is because they think they are something they are not. The real reality is the majority of us will never be special and will never make a mark on society. History even backs this up because the only people whom ever get into the history books are either great inventors or mass murderers. So don't feel bad because Your shitty life is just like everyone else's shitty life. Pussy Grabber Extraordinaire |

"A wise man listens to the message and uses his logic and discernment to process it, a fool negates the message by prejudging the messenger." "He whose centre is everywhere and whose circumference is nowhere." |

Ain't no sunshine when she's gone...ain't no borderline psychotic emotional outbursts either. Some days you just have to create your own sunshine. |

I used peppermint oils alot.. rub on nostrils then sip ice water. Also tactile attention is huge. Wife or daughters scratches arms, abates in a few min. ITS NOT ALL IN YOUR MIND! its body's reaction to stress or stress induced acute conditions, autoimmune conditions. Body's way of saying 'hey! Shit aint right!!' |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 74459176 United States 09/03/2017 11:13 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | L-Theanine the Amino Acid [link to www.psychologytoday.com (secure)] "How L-theanine works L-theanine promotes relaxation and facilitates sleep by contributing to a number of changes in the brain: Boosts levels of GABA and other calming brain chemicals. L-theanine elevates levels of GABA, as well as serotonin and dopamine. These chemicals are known as neurotransmitters, and they work in the brain to regulate emotions, mood, concentration, alertness, and sleep, as well as appetite, energy, and other cognitive skills. Increasing levels of these calming brain chemicals promotes relaxation and can help with sleep. Lowers levels of “excitatory” brain chemicals. At the same time it is increasing chemicals that promote feelings of calm, L-theanine also reduces levels of chemicals in the brain that are linked to stress and anxiety. This may also be a way that L-theanine can protect brain cells against stress and age-related damage. Enhances alpha brain waves. Alpha brain waves are associated with a state of “wakeful relaxation.” That’s the state of mind you experience when meditating, being creative, or letting your mind wander in daydreaming. Alpha waves are also present during REM sleep. L-theanine appears to trigger the release of alpha-waves, which enhances relaxation, focus, and creativity. One of the appealing aspects of L-theanine is that it works to relax without sedating. That can make L-theanine a good choice for people who are looking to enhance their “wakeful relaxation,” without worrying about becoming sleepy and fatigued during the day." |

Kava Gaba Valerian Chamomile Buy some sleepy time type tea bags. Make a strong tea using more than one tea bag. A good body buzz weed, of course. Oh! And realize - a million thoughts cross a person's mind every day. Most flit in and out of your mind - without needing excess energy devoted to them. Some times things get f'ed up and a thought or concern can become excessive. There are various methods if dealing with this. Depending upon each person. Sometime just taking a step back, and realizing what is going on and adjusting accordingly, can help. Lack of control over a situation can cause anxiety for a real reason. In that case, take control, if possible. |
