Quoting: Anonymous Coward 43563870 [link to variety.com] When William Friedkin shot “The Exorcist” in 1973, he had never seen an exorcism, though even at the time he believed in the power of this rite. Decades later, the U.S. director came full circle when he was able to film one close up — involving violent thrashing, foaming at the mouth and screaming — thanks to Father Gabriele Amorth, who performed exorcisms for the Vatican’s Rome Diocese. The result is documentary “The Devil and Father Amorth,” which screened at the Venice Film Festival. Friedkin spoke to Variety about the experience. Q: You have subsequently consulted with scientists in the U.S. about what you witnessed and filmed. What did they say? A: I consulted with neurologists, brain surgeons, some of the best in the United States. The brain surgeons had no idea what her affliction was and none of them would recommend an operation. They believe that everything originates in the brain but — and they say this in the film — they have never seen anything quite like these symptoms….Then the psychiatrists…all described how psychiatry now recognizes demonic possession. It’s called dissociative identity disorder/demonic possession. And if a patient comes in and says they are possessed by a demon or a devil, they don’t tell them that they are not….They do whatever psychiatric treatment they think is necessary, including medication. And they bring an exorcist in. ![]() "Those who believe man should not love himself are mistaken. It is normal to love yourself, for nature herself gave this instinct to her children. But you must learn to love yourself and at the same time be conscious of your worth as a son or daughter of God. Do people truly love themselves when they eat and drink anything whatsoever and in any manner whatsoever? When they smoke, lead unbalanced lives and endlessly ruminate on destructive thoughts and feelings? No. Loving yourself means seeing to it that you allow nothing harmful to gain access to you, whether physical or psychic. By purifying yourself you prepare certain conditions so that luminous entities will come to visit you. And if you are careful not to harm others in any way, if instead you help, comfort and console others, here again you prepare conditions such that the Lord will come and make his dwelling in you and bring you all his blessings. This is how you must love yourself. " "Those who do not put themselves in service of the light necessarily serve the darkness. This is an implacable law. Willingly or not, consciously or not, if you fail to choose heaven, you are headed for hell. If you do not make the decision to climb, you will come tumbling down. You may think: ‘The light? Heaven? What on earth is that? I want to be free!’ Well, you will not be able to prevent the forces of darkness from coming to dwell in you. Those who seek this kind of freedom will discover slavery. They fail to realize that they are placing themselves under the influence of dark entities which are only interested in exploiting them. They get mixed up in things, imagining it is they themselves who desire and decide, when in fact they are carrying out someone else’s business. Most people are like children when it comes to understanding freedom: they believe they are free when they engage in all sorts of unreasonable and dangerous things, which will eventually limit or even destroy them. They open the cages of wild beasts which will tear them apart and devour them. Only the wise know that to be free they must first limit themselves, by placing themselves in service of the divine world." Anonymous Coward User ID: 71980116 ![]() 09/04/2017 12:51 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Some of the leftist's psychotic reactions to Trump and conservative speakers looks borderline demonic to me. It may be in the cards in the near future that collective leftism is truly identified as a mental disorder and demonic possession at the same time. How else could leftists carry out, and then excuse over time, the heinous barbarism, death, suffering and carnage caused by leftists over the centuries. Even going back just as far as the French Revolution, tens of millions dead as a result of socialism, communism, Naziism, Maoism, fascism, Leninism, Trotskyism, Bolshevism, Stalinism, Jacobinism, etc, etc etc. Collectivism, IMO, is a form of demonism because it relegates the individual to the status of worthlessness and therefore gives license to the mob to dispatch any individual's life at their whim. To go further, slavery and abortion can also be included as anti-Christian and demonic. It was Christianity that rid the world of slavery and has attempted to do the same with abortion. I am reminded of this passage from a book I read recently: JESUS is demonstrating HIS GODness and AUTHORITY through a demon-possessed man. The man, having recognized JESUS, and wanting healing, ran to JESUS. JESUS spoke to the man, but, the demons that were controlling the man also controlled the man’s speech. JESUS asked the demon their name; for, JESUS knew the man was severely demon-possessed. Mark 5:9 ‘Then JESUS asked him, "What is your name?" "My name is Legion," he replied, "for we are many”. Its all coming together. Science is finding its way to God through the mind of man. ![]() |

Scott Peck's "People of the Lie" (his follow up to Road Less Traveled" 3. Ed Smith Encyclopedia of Spiritual Warfare That ought to do for now. Of course there is demonic possession and spiritual warfare. Jesus Christ spent a LOT of time casting out demons in the bible. FOr whatever reason people choose to overlook this -- guess they are not comfortable with it. However, yes, it is real. Sure is. Don't go near it. If you suspect it, I beg you, contact a Catholic priests. It can be lethal. And you can be possessed trying to unpossess someone else. This stuff is real. |
