Wow, I've never seen it that bad before. If that map included Canada fires, it would show a continuation of the fires all the way up through BC on the West Coast, which is the continuation of PNW.

Our Summer has been lost to smoke. Can't go for bike rids or walks or even enjoy the beaches. Just been horrible & it's not letting up anytime soon.

USGS shows this area being slammed with some sort of energy pulses for months now.

I went through the area near the Milli Fire in Oregon last week. Very smokey.

Remember, though...as sad as it is/seems, summer forest fires in the West are normal/natural. Lightning strikes igniting dry brush and timber. As a matter of fact, many ecosystems not only thrive but require periodic burn-off.

Trust me we here UNDERSTAND that. However THIS is no where near normal ! We have had bad years before. Ive been here 50+ of them . I assure you this is not normal. Even when we had field burning and slash burning WITH local forest fires it was NEVER like this. Now its a criminal act to burn your fields. This is unprecedented at 1373 fires burning at once!
