Certainly looks like that. Somebody should calculate how much energy, approximately, was pumped into that storm. That much energy came from just a single (alien) vehicle with a black hole manufactured at CERN (Switzerland/their, apparently, primary base of operations) as an energy-conversion source.

Imagine a dozen of those things wrecking chaos all over U.S. That, at least, seems to be a general idea right now. Those half-alien halfwits sure don't like disobedience.
