In the entire history of our country, a hurricane has never made landfall in the state of California. So if such a thing actually happened, it would be considered to be an extremely unusual event. Well, right now there are three very dangerous tropical storms swirling in the eastern Pacific Ocean. Tropical Storm Kiko is not expected to be a serious threat to make landfall, but Tropical Storm Lorena and Tropical Storm Mario “are expected to become hurricanes by Friday as they approach the Mexican coast”. Tropical Storm Lorena is the more immediate threat, and the latest forecast is projecting that it will reach Mexico’s Baja California Peninsula by Saturday. If it maintains hurricane strength and continues to ride up the west coast, it is entirely possible that we could see something that we have never seen before. Most forecasters don’t want to talk too much about it yet, because it truly would be an unprecedented event, but there really is a chance that California could get hit by a hurricane for the very first time in U.S. history.

Quick edit on 26th Sept. It seems Rosh Hashanah is not on Sunday but Monday and Tuesday. It's a two day event. This is according to the calender on the Chabad website. The guy in the video seems to think it's Sunday.

To be prepared to face God, we have to remember the two greatest commands, which is to love God and love others.

There's nothing wrong with have preparations like food and shelter to help you physically survive, but God will care more about whether we loved him, and loved others.

In the book of Isaiah, it says we love God, by loving and caring for those in need. In the book of John, Jesus says if you love me, keep my command, and my command is that you love one another.

So we love God, by loving his children, or by loving others.

As an analogy, if someone showed kindness and respect to your family members and children, they would in turn be showing respect and love for you.

What does it mean to love others? We can show and express kindness and love to others, with words, thoughts, prayers, and our actions.

It doesn't mean to let others walk over us, since we can still set boundaries and defend ourselves and those who are innocent if necessary. (Exodus 22:2) But as a general rule be kind and loving to others.

When we pray for our enemies, we're not praying that they maintain their evil ways. We pray that they change their ways, and start living a life pleasing to God.

It's not always easy to love others. Here's one way I found that helps with this. And by doing this, you end up following the two greatest commands.

Try thinking about someone you feel indifferent about or may not even like, and then try to love them.

This may be kind of hard to do, which is understandable.

Now focus on loving God for a few minutes. Listen to worship music or instrumentals if this helps. After a few minutes, and once you're in this state of love.

Think again about the person you feel indifferent about, and now try to have loving thoughts about them.

I was thinking about the missing years in the Hebrew calender a few days ago. It is said there are somewhere between 160 or so and 220 missing years. Lots of information about this online.

Also, some scholars have claimed the 120 years that God has given man in Genesis refers in fact to 120 jubilees and not years, which equals 6000 years.

This totally makes sense if the New Testament Millenial Reign of 1000 years begins on the Hebrew date of 6000. On the torah calender website, it says

If there are indeed missing years and we are now about to begin the year 5780 in the Hebrew Calender, it could actually be the year 6000 that's about to start.

This is so exciting.
