I don't believe this is judgement, but a chastisement. A call to repentance. And YHVH chastises those He loves. So, we find ourselves at Deuteronomy 28, blessings or curses. We also find ourselves in revelation, as the head shall become the tail.
This isn't judgement on those in the path of the hurricanes, but a call to the nation as a whole.
At least that is how I see it.
My heart breaks for those who have been stricken by these hurricanes. I see that YHVH allowed them and that it is an avenue for people to contemplate which way they really want to go. Yes, there are weather weapons, and they may have been used, but YHVH allowed it, and also spared millions.
So, I think the point people need to consider isn't how "righteous" some person is, but whether or not they can stand up to perfect righteousness even in their own eyes.
I know I can't. Even though I try, I am not, and will not become perfect through my own efforts. I need forgiveness and grace. And I still have to be willing to listen and change what I can about my errors.
My prayer is that people see YHVH's love, and realize love isn't always giving your child ice cream because they like it.

Repentance is mandatory As America still stands in denial... SO more punishment shall come...
