tell me, if you may know, would using a magnifying glass produce more intense light and therefor more energy if u placed it between the sun and solar panel..i dont really know anything bout it just curious why they dont do this, is there some known reason?
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 73231273 This actually got me thinking for a while but after some thought I figured it might mean less power because the amount of sunlight hitting the solar panel would be the same either way. All the magnifying glass would do is concentrate it to a smaller area meaning less sun on other areas. It might work out less because id assume theres only so much power a solar panel could absorb. Any way,, I could be wrong but this is my thinking. Quoting: Rickster That also seems logical, maybe if someone were to get a panel with more wattage and some type of magnification to cover the entire panel, but not some regular magnifying glass normally found around the house.
