They say it will cause G2 and G3 it's tied with one that happened in 1990 they say nothing much will be noticed just ham radios ect will experience some outage.

It's rated number 14 being the Carrington event number 1

It's a collision of high speed "solar material" hitting our thin upper atmosphere.

Some of the energy turns to light (Auroras) and some turns to other frequencies of RF energy.

The collisions should increase pressure as particles are pushed towards the earth's surface from their higher altitudes.

No, it won't affect Hurricane Irma as the geomagnetic activity is not expected to go below 50 degrees (at most) which means it's effects will only be felt as far down as Pennsylvania.

No glitch. I've seen all three energy levels of the proton flux data going to the roof 14 hours ago. Now that data is missing!
