The Gentle Astromut Senior Forum Moderator 09/07/2017 01:58 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | this is in your oyster Quoting: Anonymous Coward 59686777 if gravity is not instantaneous, how can earth stay in orbit? if gravity took 500 seconds to get to earth, if the earth is moving at xxxxxxx miles per hour, we will be slingshot to heaven. well? Your question presupposes that the Sun's gravity magically stopped happening for some length of time and now there is a lag in resuming it. That is insanity. Like I said you are a mental defective. You said gravity is instant! No, I didn't. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 34342809 United States 09/07/2017 02:08 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Quoting: Anonymous Coward 71900468 I think when these flares happen, they particularly have an impact on japan. The huge earthquake I also predicted the day before it happened in Japan. I am not a scientist, but from constantly watching Flares in the past, Japan more than anyone else, seems to be impacted more than anyone else. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 75473755 Vietnam 09/08/2017 02:48 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | These large X flares often precede major earthquakes by 24 to 48 hours. So I'd be paying close attention to Yellowstone/Idaho/Montana/Wyoming and also the New Madrid. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75473755 The big 8+ earthquake in Chile some years ago was famously preceded by a big solar storm. Just woke up to see the news about Mexico. Looks like EQ's from the solar flares have already started. Buckle up, this is going to be a wild ride. |
The Gentle Astromut Senior Forum Moderator 09/08/2017 07:40 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | nasa faked moon landing, some shadows are right under the object, means they made the video at noon time, which is not morning time as they said/should. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 59686777 Wrong. You are educated scientist. Why spread lies? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 73850734 They land the moon at morning time to avoid high heat. Why shadows right under the lander and moon buggy as if the sun is over head during every mission? I'm not lying. Try actually doing the math for once. [link to www.hq.nasa.gov (secure)] This photo was taken at 163 hours 59 minutes 05 seconds into the flight of Apollo 15. Given a launch date and time of July 26, 1971, 13:34:00.6 UT, that means the photo was taken on August 2, 1971 at 9:33:05.6 UT. At that time, the sun should have been 38.2348 degrees above the horizon at an azimuth of 112.4502 degrees from the landing site of Apollo 15. We know the flag in the photo measured 3 feet by 5 feet. Using the 3 foot height of the flag itself, we find that the pole's visible length in the image measures about 8.5 feet. It's titled at an angle though, so its actual height above the ground is roughly 8.4 feet if we assume the photo is perfectly level. Given an expected shadow length of Height/tan(altitude of sun over horizon) we find that the shadow should be about 10.7 feet long. Again using the height of the flag itself in the photo as a reference (about 239 pixels by my measurement) I find that the shadow of the pole measures about 862 pixels or about 10.8 feet in the image. That's within a tenth of foot of the expected shadow length in spite of terrain variations and approximate methods for comparison. nasa, china, japan all fake news about solar sails work in space, photons able to transfer momentum to solar sail to accelerate spaceship. Quoting: ACthey lied right in front your eyes. Citation needed. if light/photon has momentum, why is laser beam cannot bend a flame? why is light mill not moving in a hard vacuum? Quoting: ACWhy is you make false comparisons and speak like this? all space missions are fake, cuz they faked the time delay for space radio transmission. Quoting: ACWrong. In fact you can use the echoes of mission control through the astronauts' microphones to not only measure the earth-moon distance, but the eccentricity of the moon's orbit over the course of the longer later missions. [link to arxiv.org (secure)] light/em waves travel in vacuum space at an infinite speed, only within mediums at a limited speed. Quoting: ACWrong. so any communication takes more than 1/100 second is faked. Quoting: ACYour premise is false thus your conclusion is also wrong. if light speed is limited in vacuum space, all stars, galaxies we see are from the past, Quoting: ACYes, exactly true. Your point? it is all bs, all lies. Quoting: ACNo. You're just mentally defective. if gravity is not instantaneous, no planets can stay in orbit. Wrong. |

I haven't banned you at all. at least, some people in this thread noticed that you banned me. none are just enough to say a word about it. I didn't ban you. I haven't banned anyone in this thread at all. Stop making assumptions that I banned you. I didn't. End of discussion. |
The Gentle Astromut Senior Forum Moderator 09/08/2017 11:30 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | You want me to ban you? Keep bitching about it and I will start to ban you. light does not propagate in vacuum space, there is no light in vacuum space. Quoting: IdiotAlso wrong. It's amazing how wrong you are. Stick a gopro in a flask and pull the air out with a vacuum pump. Does the video even dim at all, let alone go black? No, it doesn't. No, I'm not going to waste my money buying a gopro just to prove it to you. If you had a significant number of followers, then yes, I might (after all it's why I blow money going to SpaceX landings since 20% of GLP'ers think it's fake), but even here on GLP your beliefs are too loopy for most of the posters. That says something. Last Edited by Astromut on 09/08/2017 11:31 AM |

The Gentle Astromut Senior Forum Moderator 09/08/2017 12:29 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | if you pass a color laser beam through a vacuum glass bottle, the beam will disappear inside of the bottle, but exits a color beam that you can see. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75498381 Put a camera in the glass bottle. Does the image go black when you pull a vacuum on it? Yes or no. You and I both know the answer is no. Your claim is wrong. Passing a laser through it and looking for diffusion in a vacuum is stupid and doesn't prove your point. |

You claimed light does not propagate in a vacuum. Your words. By that claim a camera inside a vacuum should not be able to record anything, it should just be a black image. You and I both know that's not going to be the case if I were to actually test it. |

You and I both know that's not going to be the case if I were to actually test it. if cause nothing propagates in the vacuum between the light source and the target/detector. Then nothing would be detected by the camera when you pull a vacuum. Of course, that is not true at all. Oh, and my discovery of P/2016 J3 using STEREO Ahead on the other side of the sun actually proves that without me having to spend a dime or a minute more of my time. You can't discover a comet just by crunching numbers and theorizing its existence. That little smudge moving down and to the right in that gif is a comet I discovered using their data. I discovered comet P/2016 J3 using images from the STEREO Ahead spacecraft on the other side of the sun, far outside the earth's atmosphere, while the comet was not even visible from earth. Over a month after the announcement of its discovery the comet finally became briefly visible from earth where it was photographed by another amateur astronomer from Denver, Colorado: [link to www.aerith.net] If light does not propagate in a vacuum, then there is no way that STEREO's HI-2 camera operating in the vacuum of space could have detected my little comet, which wasn't even visible from earth at that time. |

IT'S IMPOSSIBLE FOR IT TO BE THAT LITTLE, ESPECIALLY AFTER A MASSIVE SOLAR STORM IS CURRENTLY HITTING THE PLANET!!! THE ONLY WAY FOR THE PROTON DENSITY TO BE THAT LOW DURING A MASSIVE SOLAR STORM, A BLACK HOLE WOULD HAVE TO BE SUCKING UP THE DENSITY PROTONS FROM THE SUN!!!! APOCALYPSE ALERT!!!! BLACK HOLE A MAJOR POSSIBILITY RITE NOW!!!! |
