Message Subject why you always carry your firearm in a holster

In states where open carry is legal, like Texas, what kind of reaction would cops have to a western holster strapped to your leg with a cowboy style wheel gun in it, for Fast Draw. If a cop reached for his gun, would you assume it was a threat to your life?

It doesn't make the cops nervous? Back in the 50's and 60's, fast draw was a big thing. You've seen the youtubes. Draw with your right hand and fan the hammer with your left hand. No cop could get his glock out that fast.

Otherwise known as the BEST way in the world to BREAK your single action.

The ones you see in vids have been specially set UP to do that... By gunsmiths that specialize in cowboy action shooting or fast draw events.

On a normal single action "fanning" will QUICKLY break the hand spring...

I carry a snub nosed 1860 with a thunder grip and .45 colt conversion cylinder almost every day... I practice with a single handed draw as well as two handed.. Mostly I use the "off" hand, in two handed, to cock the weapon...

I dont play dress up and all of my sidearms are every day "working guns".
