2007 Remember this? Seafloor Hole Drilled to Bottom of Earth's Crust at the Mid-Atlantic Ridge. They're still drilling.
The latest drilling was done at the Atlantis Massif, located at the intersection of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge and the Atlantis fracture zone, two plates of the planet's broken crust. The seafloor is shallower at the center of this region and therefore easier to reach.

The Integrated Ocean Drilling Program (IODP) seeks the elusive "Moho," a boundary formally known as the Mohorovicic discontinuity. It marks the division between Earth's brittle outer crust and the hotter, softer mantle.

Integrated Ocean Drilling Program (IODP) update:

The Integrated Ocean Drilling Program (IODP) was an international marine research program. The program used heavy drilling equipment mounted aboard ships to monitor and sample sub-seafloor environments. With this research, the IODP documented environmental change, Earth processes and effects, the biosphere, solid earth cycles, and geodynamics.[1]

The program began a new 10-year phase with the International Ocean Discovery Program, from the end of 2013.

International Ocean Discovery Program (IODP) information:

IODP expeditions have investigated a wide range of Earth science topics, including past climate and ocean conditions, monsoon systems, seismogenic zones, the formation of continental crust and ocean basins, major extinction events, the role of serpentinization in driving hydrothermal systems, and the temperature limits of life in the deep biosphere.

An early outcome of the program harkens back to the original motivation for scientific ocean drilling with Project Mohole – drilling and sampling across the Mohorovičić discontinuity (Moho) and into the upper part of Earth’s mantle. Expedition 360 was the initial part a multiphase project whose goal, among others, is to directly sample the mantle for the first time. The expedition took place near the Southwest Indian Ridge at a location where the crust is particularly thin due to the formation of an oceanic core complex. Expedition 360 completed 790 meters of drilling and IODP plans to return to the site in the coming years to continue the research.

does that latitude line coincide with the big earthquakes?

Not sure. Good question.

They shouldnt be doing that.....

But they have and continue to do so.

wow.
fracking on a huge scale.

this is what happened to Mars, all the water will cool the inner core of the earth and turn to steam and disappear.

creatures are 90% water. aliens will find our landfills and see how stupid we were.

the earth's crust serves the purpose of keeping the ocean on the surface.

who approved cracking the earth's crust for "exploration"???

who owns these drills and why are they allowed to frack???

I'm not sure. I would guess that there had to be some approval. Maybe the UN held meetings about this? They did so for the global solar shield upper atmosphere dispersals (evidenced by documents on line stating they were aware of the inability to contain dispersal ingredients within borders. (The atmosphere moves, is "fluid" in its motion)).

The same group that gave thunderous applause with a standing ovation for a speech about population control and wiping out 90 percent of humanity with Ebola??? That Texas A&M?
