Capable of 10,000 pounds of thrust but throttled down to about 1,500 as they were landing. If it was running at 10,000 then the lander would be going up. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75156261 No it would blow right past the ladder. Guess those nice astronuts must have politely swept the dust back into the crater, from hundreds of yards out? Guests must make a good impression on the Man in the Moon right? Last Edited by DGN on 09/23/2017 11:39 PM |

Just gish gallop on to the next crap to throw at the wall, right? Prove there should be a crater. Helicopters and the Harrier make vertical landings on Earth with far greater thrust and don't make craters. We DO see however that the loose dust underneath was scoured away in a radial pattern. But no crater as there shouldn't be one. |

We know it wasn't used because when the footage is sped up their arms move way too fast. the footage also had live interaction with mission control. Can't do that with slow motion at the same time. As for how filmed it, the video you posted shows clips from all missions and on each, they set up a video camera that nobody had to hold. On Apollo 15-17 that camera was attached to the rover and remotely operated from mission control. On others it was mounted on a tripod. Thank you for showing your ignorance. |

So NASA who do you suppose filmed the 'first step', while the other two astronuts were in the LEM? Quoting: DGN and you prove your massive ignorance AGAIN. The first steps were filmed with a camera prepositioned on the MESA which was lowered by lanyard before Armstrong started down the ladder. and there was only one other astronaut in the LM. The third was in orbit. Basic mistakes like that show you either never research anything outside of hoaxie sites or you're just a troll. I'm thinking it is a combo of both. |

"The first steps were filmed with a camera prepositioned on the MESA which was lowered by lanyard before Armstrong started down the ladder." looks to me the first picture is a close up in the dark then it's suddenly a hundred feet away, and he's in the floodlights. I like the floods lights in the back round but they should at least have gotten the shadow going parallel. Last Edited by DGN on 09/24/2017 11:24 AM |

Look at cars from 1969 like the Ferrari Dino or the Lamborghini Miura or even the Holden Hurricane that was built by a small Aussie car company [link to www.dailymail.co.uk] What about the concord, sleek seamless design and the first plane took off in 1969 and could travel twice the speed of sound. You would have thought they would have engaged either one of these teams to build the fake Lunar Lander but no they get a bunch of stage hacks to throw together a prop that is made from sheet metal, press studs, kaptan tape, curtain rods, pipe insulation and cardboard. They didn't even try, yet the world still bought it. Now think about this for a second, if people are stupid enough to believe (or not question) a fake lunar lander made from sticky tape and string what else do they believe that is not real. The world as we know it is not what it appears. |

Quoting: DGN Strange they can only jump one foot up in 1/6 gravity, maybe the mysterious camera man filming the first step on the moon can explain? They were wearing bulky suits with backpacks, so they were not very maneuverable. You would expect them to move slowly and cautiously if they were really on the Moon. After all, if they made a mistake, it could puncture the suit, or otherwise damage their life support systems. One false move and they might be dead. So, it would be a sign of fakery if they actually did clown around while on the Moon. |

The world as we know it is not what it appears. The LM was protected inside a shroud when the rocket was launched. Why would it need to be aerodynamic to land on the Moon where there is no air? Why would they want to have the extra weight of having a sleek body? To protect it from the Moon wind or from getting wet in the Moon rain? |
