You bring in politics to the game by playing the national anthem is inviting opposition politics. You're there for the game, keep the entire event focused on the game including pre-game, half-time and post-game. Focus, people.

Just asking. Why is there this need for additional re-affirmation of what is so obvious? Is there some lack of faith or memory? I would insist that the national ensign fly over all gatherings of American citizens just as in a military maneuver, the forces demonstrate the country of their allegiance regardless of their location.
