If you earn less than $60,000 a year, respond to this thread, I just want to prove that most people are living on less than this amount per year to survive...
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 13127957 Me and wife about 3 years ago earned around 50,000 a year, lived in trailer 900 sw ft, 4 kids, barely had enough to survive, wasn't broke but wasn't saving a lot wither.
Now we make over 200,000, and yes it sounds like a lot, but with higher tax bracket, we had to get a bigger house, we got better cars. Because working on a car every week or month, was getting old, and costing a lot.
With the bigger house comes more electric, more gas, more water, we actually take vacations now, eat a little better. Better clothes, etc...
But now we can actually save for retirement,. And have money of the cars break down. Or something in the house breaks, or kids needs medical care, dentist etc...
Point being when you make.more you spend more, rather you want to or not, your taxes will go up, you will find yourself buying things, that you use to. Couldnt afford, you migjt eat better. Etc...
I know people think I live on 40, 50, 60 a year, if I had 200 000 a year I would save all that extra money, yes, you would save some but I guarantee you would also spend more than you do now.
I've been in both worlds, and I like the higher income better, but I know I can survive in the lower income again of I had to.
