What an ignorant fool you are. Every person born in PR is a US citizen. Educate yourself before you defecate through your mouth. They're considered US citizens, but they elect their own legislative assembly, a governor, and a representative to the U.S. House of Representatives. But unlike U.S. states, Puerto Ricans on the island cannot vote in presidential elections, and their representative in the House — known as a resident commissioner — has no vote. Oh yeah, how wonderful that they receive benefits from the federal government of the USA, but they DO NOT pay federal personal income taxes to the IRS. They pay NOTHING....ZERO... to the IRS. Also, Puerto Rico is $74 billion in debt plus $49 billion in debt for pensions for their people. Our government (we taxpayers) are now expected to bail them out.
