Here's the real situation in Puerto Rico by the numbers for you clueless libs.
Oren Dorell, USA TODAY Published 11:16 p.m. ET Sept. 30, 2017 | Updated 6:45 a.m. ET Oct. 1, 2017

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico — As of Saturday morning, here's what we know about hurricane recovery in the U.S. territory of Puerto Rico, which has a population of 3.4 million.

• Death toll: 16

• Gasoline stations open: 714 of 1,100

• Amount of fuel on the island: 600,000 barrels of diesel and 722,000 barrels of gasoline. Converted to gallons, that's 25.2 million gallons of diesel, 30.3 million gallons of gas but getting the fuel to where it's needed most is a problem because of debris and washed-out roads. Electricity to operate gas pumps also is an issue.

• Electric customers with power: 5%

• Supermarkets open: 224 of 456

• Pharmacies open: 337

• Municipalities visited and provided with emergency supplies: 78 (all of them)

• Staging areas across the island for food, water and other supplies: 11

• Shelters open: 150

• Hospitals open: 51 of 69

• Hospitals connected to the electric grid: 9

• Functioning cell towers: 14%
• Open ports: 75%
• Roads: 50% of major roadways cleared
• U.S. response team: 12,600 people on the island

For an island completely destroyed we're moving very fast you cry babies.

The biggest issue right now is getting drinking water where it needs to go and the trucker union in Puerto Rico went on strike because they wanted triple wages from FEMA.

[link to theconservativetreehouse.com (secure)]

We've accomplished all that in spite of over 11,000 containers of supplies being untouched because of truckers wanting more money.

There you go, the news by the numbers and no spin.

Good Catch, OP!

It sounds to me that the problem is NOT with our
President nor FEMA...but the greedy asshole TRUCKERS
who are on STRIKE for triple their wages...This is
pathetic beyond words.

The corruption in Puerto Rico is really being revealed
with this crisis. I feel for the people who are now
between a rock and a hard place expecting rescue and
their OWN CITIZENS are blocking the effort. Amazing.

The teamsters union down there has come to an agreement supposedly so one more road Block down to getting these ppl to help themselves.

Now they're having problems with mayors who refuse to meet and coordinate with FEMA and the military in certain areas.

Apparently they have no idea how to handle this and think if they hide out and whine enough we'll do it for them somehow.

Shouldn't be long before the cities and districts putting in work and organizing with us start showing quick progress while the local politicians refusing to participate areas fall behind the rest of the island.

I loved the interview of the mayor who said they are receiving no assistance while standing in front of pallets of water in the background. Typical libs, perception is not fucking reality folks, grow up.

Innocent children with no racist thoughts, no political sides, would honestly be more efficient right now in running the offices in the govt held by lib tard dip fucks. I feel like they would have more common sense which seems that leftists have none of.

Life straws are great yes. I'm sure the red Cross has them down there.

I think we have more than enough water and rations for everyone we just need to finish clearing the roads and getting the truckers off their ass to deliver them.

Then we can use the military for stuff we actually need to use them for like air dropping supplies to areas where the roads are destroyed.

Why do you feel the need to continue to downplay the severity of the situation when there are people in hospitals decomposing, there are people who are being buried by family members on their land for lack of operable funeral parlors.

"The storm-related fatalities are mounting with each passing day, and official numbers are not counting patients who are not receiving dialysis, oxygen and other essential services.
The dead are at the hospital morgues, which are at capacity and in remote places where the government has yet to go. In many cases, families are unaware of the deaths. The government’s Demographic Registry is responsible for certifying deaths so bodies can be removed by funeral homes, many of which are not operating because of lack of resources. The agency began to certify some of the dead Monday, Health Secretary Rafael Rodríguez-Mercado confirmed in an interview.

We're keeping it real and not letting it be exploited with hyperbole at the expense of Puerto Ricans for some stupid political ploy by democrats that's going to be ineffectual for them anyways.
