A very good way to discover yourself is to write it all down, with the intent on sharing the finished product with others. When reading your thoughts again in this perspective, revelations happen.

In truth I think he is biding his time and discovering his purpose, waiting for something. Some trigger event that will allow a transformation of understanding and thought.
