A man cursed at Somalis selling goods in a farmers market in west-central Minnesota last weekend and threw a pig’s foot at them, according to authorities.

Hopkins is still a decent place to live where you can walk down the street at night and feel relatively safe. It's a quaint small town with several antique shops, a theater, a couple coffee shops, and a Big 10 that serves incredible homemade clam chowder. Ford is right not to want the rail for the reasons he states. Unfortunately, there are too many factors currently at play to defeat Ford's argument. For one, the transportation board is decreasing funding for roads in place of supporting the rail and more bike lanes. There is also a boom in apartment and condo buildings popping up in Hopkins, creating a lot of congestion on 169 (when it is open) and in town. Residents moving into these buildings will likely want to ride the rail to avoid traffic, even if they have to sit next to someone who just shit their pants. Once you've taken a ride on the Amtrak coming from or going to MSP airport, you'll understand this.

Having lived in a city that experienced this, I can confirm what he is trying to say. It brings CRIME.

Quaint small town WTF lol too funny, it is a suburb of MPLS I grew up there and my dad still lives there (40 years now) i would ride my bike into MPLS as a teenager and it is isn't even a long ride. Lots of good people in MPLS if riff raff wanted to mess with Hopkins they could've done so a long time ago. This guy is delusional.

Well it is true. Growing up, my parents used to take my siblings and me, to a small State park that had a small lake in it. Wasn't the best, but was still pretty nice.

Then, they decided to run buses to it from a city. That first year they ran the buses was the last year we went. There was literal feces, all over the sinks in the changing room and elsewhere. It was horrible.

Leftists can claim they are human beings till the Leftists are blue in the face, it doesn't make it so. They are beasts that only look human.

All you have to do to see the reality of this is visit the Mall of America. Large gangs of roving blacks not buying anything just causing trouble. All shipped in on the light rail from Minneapolis. Hopkins fate will be the same.

It's true the 12 bus line was always one of the more frequent and dependable bus lines in town. Hopkins was pretty easy to get to from downtown.
