IT is a criminal act to obstruct the operation of federal law enforcement. In fact, it's a FELONY.

If a local government within a state were to undertake what you describe, the STATE could come in, disolve that local government and takeover the local city/town/borough or whatever.

Supposing the STATE is also of the same mindset, then in walks a US Attorney with a federal court order to release the jailed feds; and the next thing would be several thousand feds coming in to arrest the individuals who arrested the feds.

It would be a cluster-fuck, but that's what would happen.

The state of Alabama refused to integrate their public schools. They knew what would happen if blacks were allowed into the same schools as whites, and it did, in fact, happen!

Nonetheless, the feds nationalized the Alabama National Guard and deployed TROOPS to the schools to make certain Black kids could get in!

Bottom line: If a state or city did what you describe, it would be un-done and a whole shitload of trouble for whoever tried it . . . up to and including the deployment of federal troops into that locality to forcibly act.

My brother is with ICE and he's been sitting in the local jail in San Francisco for 3 days picked up by the local cops while HE was picking up an illegal wanted on a federal warrant and nobody's doing shit about it. Not the lawyers or anyone I've tried calling has returned my calls it's all being blacked out THIS IS ACTUALLY HAPPENING!

They would have to have had a federal warrant to have arrested them and to be holding them.

Would be considered an act of sedition. If CA wants to be a sanctuary state, good let them. Then they will have no electoral college votes in the national election. I have had it with this PC idiocy.

There have been quite a few things, including from federal courts, that could be seen as acts of sedition, yet it mattered not. No one upholds the law, they simply ignore it and spin it another way.

So some of us are waiting for some evidence either way. I really hope anyone doing this would suffer immediate consequences, but this year we've seen many things allowed that should have been nipped in the bud instantly.
