I have a small one for international travel or if I go into areas where there is no cellphone service. Like if you go into the mountains, you might want to carry one. Just get a month rate when you need to use the phone. I can say that the people who work at the national park service seem to like spotify. They have a couple models one that will send a signal and another model which you can text with. The price of the sat phones are all over the map. You can get a very basic one or you can get one that will stream long files,if you want to pay for that type of phone and the service. To me, a basic one is all I need. I am not going to use it for any other reason than an emergency. |
