Quoting: Anonymous Coward 47107042 Its not like with that gun I'll be shooting rapid fire. A couple thousand rounds will last forever if I'm no longer going to the range. Also I suspect humans will die off and animal population will explode. Most ppl can't catch a rabbit, let alone a deer. They couldn't even gut and skin what they caught anyways. I've got a good .22 and a Remington 700 also. I NEED a long range rifle and it needs me. • Don't tell me the moon is shining; show me the glint of light on broken glass. • |

Accurate as hell at any range you care to shoot it. In Sweden they still have civilian shooting matches at up to 1,000 yards exclusively for these babies. Ammo isn't hard to find. Recoil is pleasant. Good for anything up to moose. If you want particulars on how to pick one, drop me a pm. "Socialism only works in two places: Heaven where they don't need it and hell, where they already have it." I have less choices in ammo and I doubt the quality of it compared to Hornady's. Not that i think it's bad ammo, just not machined as well as Hornady's. With the Creedmoor I get 200 FPS faster leaving the muzzle too because of the lighter weight and modern design. If we're talking about loading our own ammo then 6.5x55 makes a lot of sense but this rifle seems compatible with Hornady ammo. I realize the argument for the Mauser is proven reliability and I can't disagree that it's proven it's worth. I just find myself gravitating to the performance of the Creedmoor over and over again. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75702822 That viper isn't trash, its a solid scope. It's just the cheapest I'm willing to go. I could easily spend 2k for a scope on this rifle and it would he justified because it still won't be too much scope for the gun. All said and done I'd like to escape at or under 2500 for rifle and glass and maybe an Atlas bipod. • Don't tell me the moon is shining; show me the glint of light on broken glass. • |
