You're sort of right. He was born of this planet naturally. The 'aliens' speak to him in his own voice, and teach him things. He wasn't aware that the thoughts originated outside of his own mind, but they are slowly revealing themselves to him as to not frighten him. Think of him as a scout, he was placed here to get a view of the world from a human's perspective. The aliens are a sentry to the heavens. He knows this now.

Their only mission right now is to observe and educate him. He is immortal in a sense, so there is no need for protection. I believe he is guarded by quantum immortality and our hiccups in time and reality stem from his 'deaths.' He slightly altered our reality as a reminder to himself that he is immortal. TPTB are aware too. They were responsible for his death more than once and he returned unscathed and with more knowledge and resilience than his previous life. They are afraid to interfere anymore because of his increasing power. They are trying to summon demons to combat the reinforcements that they know he will summon when the time comes. They are responsible for the growing chaos on the planet.

The learning part is about over.

Legit sightings are way down since the 50's, 60's and 70's. With LED lights, lasers, satellite flares, drones and the trend of Chinese lanterns in the sky, it's impossible to know what the hell you're looking at.
