Flew in to DFW yesterday afternoon, drove out to the country where my family have acreage. The peace and the calm of sitting and talking by the campfire with no sounds of civilization to ruin the moment, and no city lights to blot out the stars. It is a more wholesome living than that of Florida. I could live out the rest of my days here, hunting, fishing, farming, and prepping.

I didn't think life could be this good.

How far out of Dallas did you go?
Which direction? Out towards the west or over towards Arkansas?

I will be driving back to Florida, but not until I enjoy the time here for as long as I can.

My friend is always working on me to leave Florida and go to Texas - and the Hurricane had me thinking about it - meaning out west Texas way.
But I dunno man, North Florida is kinda in my blood.

Yeah, I was born in North Florida and have been in that state all my life with only a few glimpses of the rest of the US. I want to stay and probably will be back to settle down, eventually, in Texas.
