The problem I have with this is that North Korea is not prone to attacking people.

They have bluffed for nearly fifty years. They seem to understand that if they start a new fight with the U.S. they will lose. If they nuke anyone, they will be committing suicide.

The danger then is that, in their desire for a major war, someone might fake such a strike, blaming North Korea for the action.

That would, most likely, engage China and Russia in the action, since the fallout of an obliterated NK would be right on their borders.

That could start a much larger conventional war, at least for a time, as angry American strike back and lash out for their glowing dead and Russia/China defensively fight back, trying not to end the world in a nuclear fire.

Even at that, cooler heads would probably prevail. We have Trump making the calls here and Kim Jung Un in North Korea. Perfectly sane and safe people to be making world impacting decisions.
