its systemic to the industry itself. you gotta think that they employ people with criminal records because no other industry thats regulated the way the private corporate industries are will hire them. then you have all of these gorgeous women and hot men walking around can be hard to resist day in and day out ( totally not making excuses, just trying to see it from the other side). they sometimes work wacky hours so theres not always down time either to go home and see the fam if they happen to have one as in weinsteins case. but yes, systemic going all the way back to the THIRTIES when desperate beautiful women would THROW themselves at these moguls. famous case - Joan Crawford was rumored to have slept with the boss to get roles and im sure she wasnt the only one either. most were discreet even serective about it. the only reason Crawfords rumor got out was Betty Davis. the Fued was legendary and when Davis got a hold of it - it spread like wildfire otherwise im sure it never would have got out.
