No Costume No Candy = No Participation Trophies MAGA

Make that your policy this year. Write it on a sign, and pst it in the yard. Hang it on your door as well. Make it CLEARLY visible. NO COSTUME NO CANDY!

Trick or treat used to be just that.
It was a threat! of being pranked if you didn't pay up some treats. It became jovial and fun, and the ceremony went on but the meaning has become lost.

Call the bluff this year. The worst that can happen is, you get your house egged or tp'd. It will suck to have to hose it off afterwards sure. But lets give these young kids back their balls. Stop pandering to them and let them realize the value of standing up for themselves, and let the ones who put up the effort of piecing together some kind of costume a reward to set them apart from those who don't even try!

I'm not saying to turn down kids who didn't buy a costume.
Uniforms, bed sheet ghosts, garbage bag blob kids, torn jean straw hat hill billies. whatever... if there is a discernible costume GIVE THEM SOMETHING! If they have a BAD ASS costume with home made prosthetics and killer make up that actually impresses you... GIVE THEM MORE hell I've given out a few bucks to costumes that impress me.

Most of all give them pride and give them a back bone.
