If someone starts a christian thread regarding doctrine or prophecy, then seldom do the people who don't know Christ get involved. The religious doctrine threads attract a different type than the christian bashing threads do, and most christian bashers don't get much involved in the level of discussion on a theoligical thread regarding doctrine. Its not really their cup of tea. |

I'm wondering why there seem to be so many fundamentalists on a website of free-thinkers. They all seem to be consumed with their own interpretation of scriptures and hell-bent on getting their message across of 'salvation' for the masses. No offense intended but gee guys, this isn't really the place to convert people to Christianity. Most of us here are secure enough in ourselves not to need the personal gods of the monotheistic religions; we know the kingdom of god is within. Peace, Taz |

You have no idea how close the opinion of the folks here at glp are to modern Christians. Very, very close. People talk about Illuminati, alien agenda, shadow government, demons, fallen angels, without realizing that Christians have been talking about these things since the '70s. |

Please don't take offense when I say you are mistaken about the kingdom of God. When Jesus referenced the kingdom he was talking about himself. The literal translation is "the kingdom of God is among you" not "within you", though many modern translations use the word "within". If my belief that Jesus will someday rule an actual kingdom where peace and love are absolute law makes me a "fundamentalist", so be it. |

Most of us here are secure enough in ourselves not to need the personal gods of the monotheistic religions; we know the kingdom of god is within. Peace, Taz Taz For me it has nothing to do with converting anyone as a personal agenda. I enjoy discussing biblical truth with other christians and even other faiths, and you are right most of us can be pretty stubborn in our faith. But that is because it is under attack and challenged everywhere we turn, so we hold fast to what we believe. because of this stubborn stance we take, we also need to be shaken once in awhile so we can move to deeper revelations of God's wisdom and love in our own growth. If ssomeone hears truth about the good news in Christ as they are reading our discussions then God is the One who causes Spiritual growth and not us. Paul planted, Appollos watered, but God caused the growth, nothing much has changed in the system God has ordained for His sheep to hear His voice. Though I have learned not to limit what God can use or what He can do, or how He choses to grab someone's attention. |

God is the embodiment of this love and Christ was the messanger. Dreams will begin as they fade into chaos. |

True, however the RECOGNIZED founders of the afore mentioned religions all died and stayed dead. Not true with Christianity though. With Christianity, the eyewitnesses saw him die and the eyewitnesses saw Him alive again. What other religion can hold to that truth? Also I used the term RECOGNIZED founders for the founder of Judaism was God Himself. God gave the information to Moses Himself. |
