Should I take on helping to take care of a (friend's, former friend) father? Is it the right thing for me? I am really struggling with this.
Quoting: akasuzanne If you indeed do pursue it, you have a very big heart (kindhearted) and will be successful at it. Why do you say 'former friend' ? I got a YES you will do it and be good at it. If that means anything. If it doesn't, DO WHAT YOUR HEART TELLS YOU TO DO. IT IS ALMOST ALWAYS RIGHT. Take care I am an RN and no longer work. I just finished taking care of her mother while she was on hospice for 8 months, she passed a month ago and her father had a stroke a few days later. He is about to come home from rehab. I say former friend because I walked away from the situation feeling used, abused, misunderstood, unappreciated and not great about it. It's been a month and if she was truly my friend, I would think I would have talked to her or gotten together with her. I have my own health issues and this did a number on my health. I am having trouble bouncing back from all the stress.
