Witnessed Road Rage - You Know You’re Getting Old When Your Response is WTH, Let’s See What Happens if I....

Waited all damn day to get home from work to relate to my fellow GLPers a curious thing that happened to me today.

At a stoplight intersection, I look over to my left to see a work van (maybe landscapers, one Hispanic dude and a redneck) and behind it was sleek tricked out cheap Japanese car. From the ‘hood car, jumps young black dude. Same time both doors on work van open and the two dudes explode out, onto the pavement (not giving a rat’s ass if there was any cross traffic, which there fortunately wasn’t).

And then the 3 dudes lit into each other like it was a WWE Smackdown show! Other folks around me in there cars are all gawking, slack jawed. Me, I am not intervening since odds are one of those boys is holding/carrying.

So, the best I could do was roll down my window, honk my horn and hollering at the top of lungs, “Wooo baby! I’m gonna’ set up and sell me some fight club tickets! Whose y’all’s agents, dudes?! Hey, you with the big ‘fro....I just bet driver next to me on this fight, so I got $$ riding on you, baby!! Work on your right hook, man, it sucks!”

Of course the other drivers around me thought I was a lunatic. But the road ragers actually got distracted, were confused by my odd behavior, suddenly aware that surely someone had already called the cops. So, they cussed each other, running back to their vehicles and proceeded to tear out hauling ass.

Came home and checked my local news to see if those boys just took it down the road and continued but nothing on news.

Best I could think of off the top of my head given the circumstances. And then in reflection, how I handled this shit might just be an indicator of getting old and just not giving a flying fuck what anyone thinks.

Sorry, no pics, no vids, folks. Just gotta’ take my word for it. Might be the highlight of my whole week.
