However, Jesus being the First born, is closest to the Father from which all came, and why he shared the Fathers love for his creation, and demonstrated it by laying down his life to it.

If you are close to that kind of love, you will understand.

The people who were destroyed were sacrificing and burning their children. They were purposely starving people that stayed in their towns after inviting them. They were raping their guests both men and women. Does not sound like good people that just needed some guidance.

The God of the Old Testament was created by mankind in mankind's own image. So why wouldn't that imaginary God have all of the harsh and unforgiving qualities of humans?

In the next go around, Jesus was created the God of love and forgiveness--he was a real man, and good man, but not a God. He exhibited all of mankind's best qualities.

No need to blame or laud a God for any of this.

As a former Christian, I always railed on how could God be so harsh and unforgiving. All the death and destruction because people wouldn't follow a couple rules. I felt it was overkill and frankly, unloving.

Eventually you understand that the old book is a comple intentional fiction, which had you not had it shoved up your ass as fact from your birth by people caught up in the Matrix it would have been obvious to any child.
