December 16th - Resistance to the British ‘Tea Act’ sees a group of American colonists in Boston destroy ships' cargoes by throwing them overboard into the harbour, after officials refused to return three shiploads of taxed tea to Britain (Boston Tea Party).

We are blessed to live in the country that has set the example by which the "free world" was born.

I love all of the non-Americans in the Q threads. Many of them understand our Constitution and the federal/state dichotomy better than most Americans. Thus, they appreciate what we have better than many natives. It follows that they understand that if America falls, there will no longer be a "free" country that their politicians feel pressure to emulate.

It is no exaggeration that America, just our existence, gives hope to millions of oppressed people all over the globe. Unfortunately we have nearly destroyed that by successive generations of fat, happy, non-vigilance; taking everything we have for granted. The fall of America will literally dash the hopes of people everywhere.

I am humbled by this knowledge, and welcome all of the help, and all of the prayers no matter whence they come. We have nearly squandered everything good that the Founders built for us--at this point, we need all of the help we can get.
