The police tried to keep about 300 people in the center of the city in check, as the Belgian news agency Belga reported. Rioters set fire to cars in the center of the Belgian capital and hit shop windows. Shops were looted. The police used water cannons in the center of Brussels against the crowd to disperse them. 22 policemen were injured. Even a passer-by was taken to hospital with injuries. It was not clear if he was involved in the riots. They are football hooligans.
