Europe, as one example, has far fewer black people and no history of plantation-type slavery---at least for the past 300 years. Yet the amount of off-the-chart political correctness and mindless dishonest liberalism in that part of the world is one-upping similar trends here in America.

Nope. It was real. Black Africans started sell rival tribe members to the Arabs in 800s which was 600 years before the the Europeans arrived. African Kings built empires on the slave trade and lobbied against the Europeans ending the practice. At least 25 million black human beings were sold, of which 400k came to the US. The Africans were tribal and when one tribe won a local battle the losing tribe became their slaves. They sold them to the Portuguese and other European slavers, who brought them to the New World.

America was one of the first countries to free slaves.

Many groups across the world still have slaves today.

Irish weren't allowed to be slaves. They were purposely starved. The English didn't want them alive; they just wanted their land. This happened more recently than American slavery.

Got into a debate with this arrogant black guy last month (actually standing up to him against his White Guilt bs) He's an aide in a landlord/tenant dispute I'm involved in. He'd always move the conversation to inappropriate personal stuff and is a SJW doing his PHD thesis comparing the Confederacy vs Third Reich.

One evening he called and I'd had enough of suffering in silence. It's like you're forced to listen to that bullshit or you're a racist even if it's completely inappropriate to the circumstances. Plus I'm not thrilled about getting dragged into the case in the first place.

I politely challenged his historical theories and today's black liberation theology. When he got to the white guilt part I informed him I'd researched my family extensively- most of my ancestors served the Union and a number of them were killed and seriously injured for the cause. I even know the battles and cemeteries. Of course that's when he pivots to "Well there were many reasons men fought for the Union besides freeing the slaves" argument. I just said "True, but if you're going to apply that premise to the Union, it also applies to the Confederacy."

I haven't heard from him since!

just because you happen to BELIEVE something - doesn't make it true ...people who gave the blankets to the Natives, that were carrying Small pox , were not give to them to intentionally harm them, quite the contrary ... Europeans had built up immunities to small-pox, but that was the first time Americans were exposed to it - it was a "mistake" not a biological weapon intended to kill them ...

You guys are not drawing the right conclusions here. Yes 'Roots' was fake. But what you're missing is that Roots was the basis upon which the idea of an 'African American' was created and sold. In fact, before than, the negros of America KNEW they were native to this land. It has been decades but many have finally been brainwashed to believe they come from Africa, when that couldn't be further from the truth.
