Asymptotes define a an unreachable solution.
They may appear to cross an axis in a mirrored relationship on the other side, but the function actually never reaches the apparent limit defined.
The silicon runs out bits to define infinite resolution while the function continues to endlessly approach the limit.
Railroad tracks appear to meet in the distance, but that is only perspective.
If you have travel to the point where they seem to meet, the new perspective shows that they didn't meet, but the illusion is maintained.
As rainbows have no end, but are circles.
