It is simply impossible to find enough police, to finance it, to cover the many thousands of buildings, there are not enough courts, ... it can't be stopped. One would think that, after 38 years of "drug wars" that the authorities would realize this entire effort is a failure in every sense. I just don't see how this can be stopped. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 217200 United States 04/08/2007 04:42 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | bush has been behind the push in busting for marijuana...called it "the gateway drug"...however...according to history and the cia...the big drugs (meth/cocaine/heroin) belong to them and they want to own it all. could be possibility. ""When you do catch people, you catch the lower-end people, the gardeners and caretakers," Amormino said. "The kingpins are rarely caught. They may be in another country, you never really know." that is exactly the problem...so legalize...regulate and tax and take the crime out of it all. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 217200 United States 04/08/2007 05:02 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The million dollar quote includes all wet stems, roots, leaves and flower. Dry it all out and discard all but the flower and that "million" dollars becomes thousands. Government / press sure makes it sound like a lot. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 196379well...they probably put a couple flower pots in there too...raise the weight you know? they consider even a two inch shoot a plant. take pic's at varying angles...add what's left from their own partying in the evidence room...plus a couple of guns left over and they can get a pretty dangerous looking picture...put lots of fear so people get scared or their own neighbor...then they can get more snitches...and then...and then...and... |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 217200 United States 04/08/2007 05:46 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | its common in the states to take aerial infrared photos of neighborhoods, the houses with lots of pot growing lights show right up as warmer than any other houses. talk about stupid........ Quoting: Anonymous Coward 218944yeah...let's all get grow lights and plant tomatoes...they smell pretty much the same too. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 217200 United States 04/08/2007 05:58 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This is our country. You can be locked up for growing or possessing a plant. A plant that grows naturally from the Earth. Tell me that it's not twisted. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 214312it's not only twisted but... expensive. people are so into how much things cost...consider how much it costs to run that ole helicopter with all that fun "look into homes" detections stuff's in them...think of all the phone calls day and night to snitches...and their cost...and the finding them new identities cost...and the cost of gas for all the cars when they go to the house at arrest time...and the pay for all the officers...and all the paperwork...and court fees...and...prosecutors fees...etc...the cost raises. do the more financially secure thing and legalize...tax if you must...get the crime out of it. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 217200 United States 04/08/2007 06:01 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The only disadvantage I can think of legalizing growing your own is that people will grow their own fields and stupid kids will try to steal plants and get shot. Then you have pot deaths. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 214312hmmmmm...so who all is getting killed through it's being illegal? think there aren't "pot deaths" now???? legalize...tax if you must...get the crime out of it. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 214312I say legalize it and go after real drugs. I can't wait till I can go to the gas station and buy the joint variety pack. :) legalize...regulate...tax if they must. all i can say is...enjoy. |
