How to beat ( unarmed) a thousand pound grizzly bear in a street fight in Alaskan woods
Imagine you are in the wild , you face a thousand pound ravenous grizzly bear ?

Do you run ? Hell no! a grizzly can run faster than a horse , no human can out pace a grizzly bear !

Do you climb a tree to escape ? No grizzly bears are superior climbers to humans , especially in trees , no you can not escape by climbing or running , so what is the answer ?

To beat the grizzly you have to simply dodge around the base trunk of a tree using the agility and fleet of foot ( only the first 5 yards tho) advantage

While you dodge around the base of the tree literally running circles around the grizzly you can take pot shots ( punches) on the grizzly bears nose , bingo !

The grizzly bear while a physical beast has a weakness its nose is the most sensitive in the animal kingdom and is its weak spot , a glass nose , the grizzly will run away in pure terror giving victory to you!

BTW

my mate did it

I am talking about the human being unarmed , in ancient martial arts there Is always a way to defend yourself

Obviously holding a knife and dodging around the base of a tree the thousand pound gets sliced to pieces

Op, thanks for trying to help but you need to tell people when you are just guessing vs actually know something.

It sounds like it would work but it wouldn't.

First the average grizzly can reach SEVERAL FEET in front of its nose.

Second. Even though they are usually slow they can out run a horse and make short leaps so fast its almost like they teleport.

Third their nose is really really boney. They get swatted on the nose by other grizzlies for fun. Do you think your right hook beats a grizzly?

I think the only way to beat a grizzly is to just avoid a grizzly bear attack, either that or shoot it's eye out.

Yes they a grizzly can leap fast but they need a few seconds to set themselves while they try and balance their massive bulk

You think ussain bolt is the fastest man in the world ? No a man much smaller is far quicker over the first 5 yards
( bolt is usually the last out the blocks)

BTW

I am not talking about knocking out the bear cold I am talking about the bear running away in terror and fear like they do from a bee sting all the time in the wild!

I am talking about the death stare ,looking at an enemy and they burst in to flames (if you wish ) but there are obviously clear reasons why this power should be used wisely!

You can't do that to an innocent animal like a grizzly bear ,in reality a grizzly is as thick as two short planks , a slightly backwards animal that can be outwitted by 99% of the animal kingdom

The one inch punch that leaves an enemy flat out cold , Bruce Lee demonstrated this and has been proven on tape ko an opponent many times in relatively , it really is possible ,size , weight ,age have no factor in the matter!

BTW

Bruce Lee was the boxing champion of hong kong

Re: How to beat ( unarmed) a thousand pound grizzly bear in a street fight in Alaskan woods
If you don't want to carry a gun; use bear spray. Or at least a long stick that you can use as a spear; Natives used to carry them around whenever they had to do long hikes. The bear will charge and spear itself right into you; if you can keep your spear pointed right and it's strong enough to do the job you'll skewer them.

The tactic OP is saying to use is much more effective against Moose or Elk and is advised if you're getting charged by one.

Grizzlies can climb ok; but are nowhere near the capability of a black bear in climbing. You could out climb them if you had enough space and were athletic enough. They can't follow you up into the branches. Assuming you've found a tree big enough lol.

Unarmed?
Your only move would be a karate chop to the laranyx. Colapse the windpipe and dominate.

Otherwise, go for the eyes

It's funny, because that's the way I always figured I would do it.

Bears only ran away from me in the woods, so there was never a need to try it.
