Can't we just skip Christmas this year???

His birthday is actually 6 months after his death which would have been in late September/early October when the weather was good. No one knows the fact day though. Jesus never celebrated birthdays.

Yes it is totally commercial. If people really did stop buying all this stuff the economy would crash. That is how important this holiday is to retail.

And of course typical Christmas snacks....

Just talk it over with relatives. Say: no gifts. A few years ago my daughter said..."No gifts anymore. We all get stuff we don't need, so let's just get together and have a good time without worrying about gifts."

Our family has money to buy gifts, but she's right. If we need something, we can purchase it for ourselves! No need to have someone else buy it for us! It really has been a relief.

How much power is in the peoples hands really... An economy based on waste and excess cannot be one that supports the people. It is one that makes us all more insolvent and despondent. Bratty. Selfish. Greedy. On top of that! Let it crash is what I say! Good god.

Well just don't celebrate Christmas. It's your own choice...

I'm going to do something different this year - I'm going to do Christmas. I mean a REAL Christmas. I'm going to go out caroling, attend midnight mass, put up a nativity scene, burn a yule log, bake Christmas cookies and all that other stuff we used to do before Christmas turned into a greed-fill celebration of materialism.

Birthdays are observing times, that is witchcraft.

They are holidays for witches and warlocks.

You would think that preachers should be honest but nearly all are liars.

In a recent poll 60% said they would prefer to skip presents and just have get together with friends and family. Potlucks and fun.

I hear ya. It is not fun for adults. Christmas is fun for children because they are not the ones doing the Christmas shopping and having to spend all that money and cooking and organizing celebrations nor are they the ones that have to listen to probing questions about their private life from nosy relatives. Nobody expects children to keep up awkward small talk. Kids are just free to run around and enjoy themselves with no real expectations placed on them nor are they pestered with memories of past Christmases with relatives who are no longer alive. Christmas becomes a sad occasion the older you get and the more family and friends have passed on.

All pretty much true.

True believers and followers of Yeshua already know that this holiday should not be celebrated.
