It was the 70's. If you were alive at the time, you know how wild it was and older men with younger women was common. I'm not saying he's guilty of anything, I'm saying that even if he was, it was the 70's!!! If you all knew everything I did in the 70's, you sure wouldn't believe I'm a Christian now, but God saves sinners. He is not being accused of anything in the last 40 years.
I'm not a Republican and I don't live in the south, but his story was a common story in the 70's.
When I met my first husband in Greenwich Village in 1975, he had three 14 year old girls hanging around him. They knew what they wanted. I was shocked. After 12 years of a torturous marriage, I finally left him, and one of those 14 year old girls is married to him today. She came back around and scooped him up. I'm just saying, It was the 70's.
