Alien life...? Bacteria ‘that had not been there’ found on ISS hull, Russian cosmonaut says
Alien life? Bacteria ‘that had not been there’ found on ISS hull, Russian cosmonaut says

Living bacteria were found on the surface of the International Space Station (ISS), and they might have extraterrestrial origins, Russian cosmonaut Anton Shkaplerov said. The microorganisms will be studied further on Earth.

Shkaplerov, an ISS expedition flight engineer who will take his third trip to the ISS in December as part of the Expedition 54 crew, said that scientists found living bacteria while they were taking samples from the surface of the station. Speaking to TASS, he said that the microorganisms might have come from outer space.

from what i have read over the years, SILVER water is the only thing to kill these bacteria out in space.
the Russians used it for a long time while America tried alot of different methods but eventually settled on silver water as well for cleaning.

idk if its true as im not out there myself but it is what i heard..

The proposition that space-dust collisions could propel organisms over enormous distances between planets raises some exciting prospects of how life and the atmospheres of planets originated," study author Arjun Berera, a professor in the School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, said in a statement. [5 Bold Claims of Alien Life]

"The streaming of fast space dust is found throughout planetary systems and could be a common factor in proliferating life," Berera added.

Berera isn't the first person to propose that organisms could hop from world to world throughout the cosmos. That basic idea, known as panspermia, has been around for thousands of years

Re: Alien life...? Bacteria ‘that had not been there’ found on ISS hull, Russian cosmonaut says
On September 10 2006, fear gripped the crew of shuttle mission STS--115. There was something outside the shuttle windows; it was following them, coming closer, and it was huge, flickering, luminescent, and changing its shape as it approached. Then, there were more of them; and they were surrounding the shuttle. Alarmed, the crew of STS--115, immediately contacted Mission Control.

The extraterrestrials outside the shuttle windows were huge, had an amorphous shape, and were opaque, appearing more like living tissue than a hard metal object. They appeared to be "curious" rather than threatening... with behavior and appearance reminiscent of the UFO "Foo fighters" which harassed German and U.S. pilots as they firebombed German cities during WWII... and in some respects, very similar to the hypothetical aliens Carl Sagan once proposed may dwell in the Jovian upper atmosphere... The crew of STS--115 again contacted Mission Control, asking for instructions as they watched the UFOs fly away...
