Re: Bitcoin --- $11,000.00
GDAX topped at $9967 so I'm not gonna call it just yet.

I was hoping I would wake to 10K BTC...maybe tomorrow LOL

Even my 70 year old mother messaged me about BTC this morning!
She read about it on the news!

I'm positioning some money to buy the dip that will surely follow the 10K mark...

Yeah me too, I take my daily interest earned from BCC and buy BTC, everyday.

Cheers.

I'll never forget when I first starting dabbling with the cryptos back in Aug/Sept. And there was a few saying, "16K by Feb 2018."

Well, now it does not sound all that crazy!

I had a website up earlier this year and got a bitcoin donation from it of $5 worth at the time. That $5 worth of bitcoin is now worth $71.

I wish there had been an easy way to buy bitcoin at the time. Nothing I found was simple. Everything required uploading copies of my ID, social security card, utility bill.

Yes - the real basis for the price is the (real) function the financial instrument serves in the market. What (real) function matters to a purchaser depends on the purchaser's preferences. For instance: source of profit, store of value, facilitator of international transactions, etc.

Of the 16.4 million Bitcoins said to be in circulation in the middle of 2017, close to 3.8 million may have been lost. That works out to more than $30 billion.

At this price that works out to be $300 billion lost.
