Okay, they look pretty much how I imagined, particularly the flat earth model maker, with no shirt, wearing a kimono, and rubbing his bare belly as he explained his position.

I imagine you could score any drug you wanted in that room.

Ever notice how water goes down a drain is different if your either in the Northern or Southern hemisphere?

In physics, the Coriolis force is an inertial force[1] that acts on objects that are in motion relative to a rotating reference frame. In a reference frame with clockwise rotation, the force acts to the left of the motion of the object. In one with anticlockwise rotation, the force acts to the right. Deflection of an object due to the Coriolis force is called the Coriolis effect. Though recognized previously by others, the mathematical expression for the Coriolis force appeared in an 1835 paper by French scientist Gaspard-Gustave de Coriolis, in connection with the theory of water wheels. Early in the 20th century, the term Coriolis force began to be used in connection with meteorology.

Can somebody finally settle this question: Does water flowing down a drain spin in different directions depending on which hemisphere you're in? And if so, why?

Brad Hanson, a staff geologist with the Louisiana Geological Survey, presents the argument of why--in theory--water going down the drain would indeed spin in different directions depending on which hemisphere you're in.

The autopilot, with the help of the powerful computers and the auto-throttle, makes CONTINUOUS adjustments to speed, altitude and attitude of the aircraft so that it maintains a constant profile. So, whereas you are enjoying a warm meal and a movie onboard, the autopilot is constantly making minute adjustments to the speed and control surfaces so as to stick to the designated parameters. The adjustments are so minute that the passengers do not notice them, and the flight seems level.

Wow. Do you folks believe how dumb people are? Damn. The stupid it burns!

Key words in your little copy and paste job are "in theory". In reality we do not see this.

How can an airplane take off at the equator which is supposedly travelling at 1000 miles per hour and land in the North or South where the rotational speed is far less? The airplane has to take that inertia of the spinning globe with it when it leaves the ground, right? It would be impossible to fly West to East if it didn't. So how do planes land on runways facing opposite directions spinning at different speeds?

There is also the issue of planes flying level and not adjusting for curvature. Just to put it in perspective a plane flying 500 miles per hour would have to account for 31 miles of curvature in that 500 miles. That's a half mile per minute the plane would have to dip down during flight to maintain it's altitude above sea level.

I've been on many an airplane and you can really feel the plane's motion if it is ascending or descending. Do you think airplanes fly through the air in a continuous curve? People have taken spirit levels on planes and guess what? When the plane reaches altitude and levels off it does exactly that and the water in the level doesn't lie.

Here's the thing, no one really knows what this place is or why we're really here.

Why do people get so upset just because someone else is entertaining an idea that our planet may just be a flat plane?

I don't trust scientists or anyone that the government or TV says I should trust. I don't trust YouTubers or their supposed research. Most of the time, I don't even trust information if it's labeled as non-fiction.

When I first took a look at all of this flat Earth stuff, I thought no way. I still do, but there's a part of my brain that says, what if. We should all have that. Trust no one, question everything.

I'm not saying scientist are right and it's a ball nor am I saying people like Eric Dubay are right. It's just something I find interesting because I've wondered what this place (Earth) truly is.

Earth being a planet in space really doesn’t require any sort of ‘belief’..
On the other hand; a vast conspiracy comprising millions of co-conspirators over decades, while still leaving the most elementary celestial motions completely unexplained would require monumental suspension of disbelief.

This thread however, is merely to share Vice’s production showcasing these ermm ‘people’. I suspect most of the venders are merely playing a part to profit from peoples naivety .. much like many many people in the ‘conspiracy’ and alternative communities.

The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed. -Albert Einstein

An airplane works with lift opposing gravity. If the direction of gravity changes (as it would gradually do as it flies over the curved earth) then the aircraft would automatically orient itself with no input needed.

What about taking off and landing in locations where Earths rotational speed is hundreds of miles per hour different? Gravity can't help with that too, can it?

they don't travel there instantly. Plenty of time for adjustments of speeds.

Come on, people, there is nothing to adjust for because the atmosphere of earth moves with it.

No different than if I was to fly my drone inside an airliner moving at 500 mph. It would fly around the cabin of the aircraft exactly the same as if it were sitting still on the ground.

Why can't the flat dipshits understand this? Have you people ever been out of your Mom's basements

Two mothers. Being raised by lesbian women and no father has damaged your ability to think clearly.

Well at least they had measurable and verifiable curvature, unlike the oceans.
