Re: Where are you and is your weather average for this time of year?
Mid Nevada,
Crazy shifts
Monday night low was 53...
Tuesday night low was about 32, will be in the teens tonight.

Very dry, but we're twice the average for the year...
Crazy back and forth...

More sky writing than last 6 months combined...

Waves big enough to surf in lake Tahoe last week...planetary?

Plants say spring around the corner(trees are budding), Hawks were mating is the sky yesterday...

Feels like late fall

That's kind of wild - the waves in Tahoe. Have you seen that happen before?

We're seeing trees bud here too. Last year it was 20 below zero low at night during Thanksgiving week. And that is average for us. This year it barely got cold enough to frost. I still have turnip greens growing.

Newspaper said it was an "atmospheric rarity". Not sure how rare, but there were no winds in the valley at that time.

Woah. That's freaky. Did you surf? Did you notice anything else out of the normal during the same period of time?

Eastern Front - central CO

never seen anything like this... I still have flies ... typically the snow starts flying in Oct and we get highs in the forties ... I've left my windows open a few night last week - average temp seems to be around 65

all my critters got their winter coats on, and I keep thinking - OK it's comming ... at least some rain ...

either the earth has tilted (slightly) or they really fucked up the jet stream permanently - when the Artic Zone collapsed

but this is far from a "normal" winter so far
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 59490123

This is what I've been wondering. So far the abnormalities point to tilting so that we in the US are closer to the equator (Australia as well) but Argentina is closer to the South Pole, which would explain the dude saying it was snow and rain during his "summer" season.

Not enough feedback for that theory though. We need to hear from some people who are south of the equator as well.

Utah here, 50's and 60's here, way to warm and mild for this time of year, no rain or snow, maybe a half inch in the last month.

What's your general location on the globe and how would you say your current weather compares to what it usually is this time of year?

We're in the Southwest states at 7K feet altitude. It has been 70's during the day and 30's at night. This is 20 or 30 degrees warmer than usual for us. No snow or hard freeze yet. The ground is still soft.

Thanks, Rev Woo Woo, for the link. :-)

Interesting about Kansas.

Nice to hear from someone on the other side of the globe. . . so Ireland, your report of "colder" fits - you would now be closer to the North Pole if we have tilted.

SE Michigan, temps in the hih 30's to high 40's, no snow, no frost...still mowing the fucking lawn and it's Dec!!

Highly odd, with no signs of change in the near future

Here's a copy-paste from Rev Woo Woo's thread. I recommend taking a look at it as well - interesting collaboration there:

Thread: The Earth's Tilt Has Changed - Or The Crust Is Shifting

I've worked off and on at a friend's art gallery since 2012. I started back again last year after a several year break and noticed something very odd. The gallery is in an alcove, half outside and faces nearly due south. Last winter was the first time we had to adjust where we put the carts with prints due to the afternoon sun. This fall, the change has been even more dramatic. It's not even near winter solstice and by 2pm, the sun is almost coming into the gallery! This has never happened before and I'm not the only one to notice.

Temperature variations are harder to notice here as we really only have 2 seasons - summer and not summer. We are most definitely in not summer right now
