Where are you and is your weather average for this time of year?
What's your general location on the globe and how would you say your current weather compares to what it usually is this time of year?

We're in the Southwest states at 7K feet altitude. It has been 70's during the day and 30's at night. This is 20 or 30 degrees warmer than usual for us. No snow or hard freeze yet. The ground is still soft.

I'm in regional Melbourne (Aus). Its been record breakingly HOT for consecutive days at this time of year, and now we're expecting to receive upto 14cm (over 5 inches) of rain over just 3 days.

Today in the south west of WA, it is freezing.
Unless of course the sun appears from behind the clouds than you will get sunburnt.

Is that the usual weather for this time of year? Or out of the ordinary?

Yeah, friends in the southern states say it is unusually warm and dry there this time of year.

A guy in Argentina I talked to about a month ago said that they should be warming up by now, but were still having snow and rain as though it is still winter.

Lol thanks, it'll more than cool us off, it will create havoc. We simply can't cope with that much rain. But anyway, we shall see what we shall see. Keep an eye out for all the reports of devastation over the next few days.

Mid Nevada,
Crazy shifts
Monday night low was 53...
Tuesday night low was about 32, will be in the teens tonight.

Very dry, but we're twice the average for the year...
Crazy back and forth...

More sky writing than last 6 months combined...

Waves big enough to surf in lake Tahoe last week...planetary?

Plants say spring around the corner(trees are budding), Hawks were mating is the sky yesterday...

Feels like late fall

That's kind of wild - the waves in Tahoe. Have you seen that happen before?

We're seeing trees bud here too. Last year it was 20 below zero low at night during Thanksgiving week. And that is average for us. This year it barely got cold enough to frost. I still have turnip greens growing.

Eastern Front - central CO

never seen anything like this... I still have flies ... typically the snow starts flying in Oct and we get highs in the forties ... I've left my windows open a few night last week - average temp seems to be around 65

all my critters got their winter coats on, and I keep thinking - OK it's comming ... at least some rain ...

either the earth has tilted (slightly) or they really fucked up the jet stream permanently - when the Artic Zone collapsed

but this is far from a "normal" winter so far

Newspaper said it was an "atmospheric rarity". Not sure how rare, but there were no winds in the valley at that time.

This is what I've been wondering. So far the abnormalities point to tilting so that we in the US are closer to the equator (Australia as well) but Argentina is closer to the South Pole, which would explain the dude saying it was snow and rain during his "summer" season.

Not enough feedback for that theory though. We need to hear from some people who are south of the equator as well.
