Cool!

Wonder if it's the 215 V8? 2 barrel or 4 barrel?

4 barrel is the Ultra High Compression engine. All aluminum.

Had a '63 Olds F85 with the 4 barrel, hot little engine! Transmission was different too, Switchpitch torque converter I think.

Have to watch that reverse gear location at the bottom. Rips the trans apart when you downshift into reverse at 50 mph..

My sister had a 61 Skylark, I was fond of the 64-65.

It's the four barrel and it's the two-door hardtop 215 engine all aluminum yes except for the exhaust manifold

If the exhaust is like the 63, it's cast iron but made like a header.

You'll probably want to use high octane gas.

Yeah I had a '62 Olds Dynamic 88, reverse at the bottom, I pulled it into reverse while downshifting, like an idiot.

Some dodge vans have that. It may be an option on other vehicles.

Awesome car, have had the pleasure before.
Also is that the one that has a shifting steering column?
Imagine how easy delivering Avon would've been...

Had a mid 70s Cutlass with swivel bucket seats, it was so much effort to swivel the seat getting out, it was easier to just slide out the usual way. Pretty sure you couldn't close the door with the seat turned sideways.

Probably came in handy on Lover's Lane though.

61'Buicks were cool period, Cadillac luxury for the middle class and look at all that open space, like having a living room on wheels. My '92 Park Avenue Ultra wasn't half bad either, wish I still had it.

About to sell my LeSabre, hate to do it since it gets 30 highway, but I don't want to keep three cars on the road and sitting around is a death sentence for a car. Full size luxury and 30 mpg, hard to beat.

My first car was a '62 LaSabre; bought it for $200 and drove it for years. The previous owner was a rubber-burning hot-rodder but those vehicles could handle just about everything...
