I heard the comment "isn't the sun setting earlier than it did last year?" So, I looked up on G-gle when it is supposed to set where I am: 5:02. Then I went out and watched it set. I am up high - a mountain top, so if anything, it should be a few minutes later - right? It set at 4:49. If you are west of the Rockies - go out and watch it set - compare what you see with the official sunset data. Simpy type "Sunset, December 2, 2017 in Phoenix, AZ" - or wherever you are, and compare.  In the UK the sunset is on time. No difference, not early and not late. and you check that how often personally by standing out there and LOOKING??????????????
